The Process

Step 1: Reminder

Before your scheduled cleaning, we will send you a reminder to kindly place your cans out on the curb.

Step 3: Blast

Cans are then placed on the hydraulic lifts of our state-of-the-art trailer. Powerful jets spray hot water 360 degrees to sanitize the bin's interior, eliminating grime and bacteria. Our self-contained trailer collects the excess water so it can be properly disposed.

Step 2: Wash

Upon arriving, we will inspect your trash bins for remaining debris and existing damage. Then thoroughly pressure wash the outside of your cans with bacteria killing hot water.

The finish: Fluff

After the cleaning process, we spray an eco friendly odor-neutralizing mist that leaves your cans smelling fresh. Sparkling clean bins will be waiting for you. Your cleaning is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) Why would I have someone else clean my garbage bins? Trash bins are are one of the dirtiest places of one's home and you touch them quite regularly, spreading those germs across your home whether you realize it or not. We compare the level of filth to that of your bathroom except bathrooms are typically cleaned much more frequently. Did you know that your trash bins have germs that cause the flu and common colds, in addition to bacteria like E. coli, salmonella, and listeria? Some researchers say that these bacteria can double in as little as 4-20 minutes.

2) Why would I choose to Local Trash Bin Cleaners over an alternative? There are many reasons we believe you should choose us: We are locally owned and operated, we care, and we give back to our community. We use state-of-the-art equipment to get your bins clean of gunk and bacteria. Bacteria dies around 145 degrees, so we use water that runs between 180-200 degrees. Not quite steam, but hot enough to get the job done. We use pressure between 3000-4000PSI to efficiently eliminate most gunk. We take an eco-friendly approach. No harsh chemicals - just our own hot tap water and high pressure. Plus, we recollect most of the dirty water for proper disposal. We offer friendly, convenient curbside service, that does not require anyone to be home. Just the bins available at the curb.

3) How do I know that my credit card information is safe? We follow PCI compliance rules. Sometimes even to our disadvantage, but it is in the name of keeping customer information safe. We partner with a well known industry vendor named Clearent to maintain the unique token associated to an individual's payment method. If you ask us your credit card number, we'll have no idea!

4) When will I be charged? Your payment method will be charged for the first service upon initial sign up. For recurring subscriptions, the subsequent cleanings will be charged at the beginning of each month for which you are scheduled for service.

5) How do you determine my service date? Your service will be scheduled on the day following your regular trash service so it can be done with freshly emptied cans. Otherwise, you will be scheduled on the same day as others in your neighborhood. If you ever have an issue with any specific scheduled date, just let us know and we will do our best to work with you.

6) What is the best way to make changes to my account? Typically the best way to make changes would be to access your online account. 7) What do you mean by winter pause? Winter Pause: What You Need to Know ❄️🛑 Typically November - March. Depends on the weather. Wisconsin winters are no joke—and neither is hauling a trailer packed with thousands of pounds of water across icy roads. Here’s the deal: • Our high-pressure spray heads are pricey and delicate. Frozen water inside? Game over. • Spraying bins in freezing temps = icy mess on your driveway. • Cold weather slows bin funk. Less stink, less gunk. So when temps drop and snow falls, we hit pause. No cleanings. No charges. No surprises. How It Works: • If you’re a subscriber, your schedule freezes when we do. We’ll resume when it’s safe and above freezing. • Spring restart? We’ll notify you when we start up again and let you know that you have been scheduled. A Few Extras: • Want a late-fall clean before the freeze? Just ask. • Got billed before a scheduled clean that gets iced out? We’ll reschedule or refund—your call. • Questions? Hit us up anytime. We’re here to keep things simple. • What doesn't stop is your ability to earn 50% off with referral credits. Bottom line: When we pause, we’ll let you know. When we resume, we’ll provide an update. If you need a change, let us know. You’re in control.
